Tourism infrastructure is being developed in west Chitwan at a time when Sauraha of Nepal’s third tourism city, Chitwan, has emerged as a centre of attraction for tourists.
Various community forests here have also conducted different activities to allure tourists. The Belhatta Green Central Community Forest Users Group under Chitwan National Park Kerunga Users Committee, Jagatpur, Chitwan has also pointed out the potentials for the promotion of tourism in the forest area, reports RSS.
Different species of wildlife could be viewed in the forest area stretched over total 77 hectares of land. There are very rare animals like one-horned rhino, tiger and deer in the forest, informed Committee Chairperson Lal Bahadur Dawadi.
The area eroded by theRaptiRiverin 2029 BS has now been developed as a model green forest with the concerted efforts of locals, said Dawadi.
